About Us: Larry Towner and John Singer

 Larry Towner

Growing up on a farm, I was taught to be self reliant.  My father rarely called service personnel, he expected the men (himself, my brother, and I) to be able to do repairs around the house.  He taught us well, gaining valuable knowledge and skill in a wide variety of the trades.

In high school, I worked for a fencing company, and learned how to install all types of fencing products.  I have also worked for an audio visual company (installing integrated AV products) and a glass company

As a younger man, I bought houses that needed work.  I would live in the house, and built sweat equity by doing repairs myself.  I wasn’t “flipping” houses, but I did repeat the process a number of times.

In 1995, I ventured into the rental house business, repairing and refurbishing houses and then renting them out.  It was at this point that my friends and neighbors would ask for assistance with their projects: a concept was born!

I still have rental houses, but it has only been recently that I have ventured into the Handy Man business as a full time concept.  I look forward to earning your business.

  John Singer

I’ve always been passionate about doing the job correctly with a focus on the saying, “If you do it right the first time, you won’t have to come and do it again”.  I adopted this philosophy at a young age working on projects, fixing equipment, and doing home repair projects.

While in high school, I apprenticed under a master automotive mechanic who taught me how to troubleshoot and repair by understanding the cause and effect relationships of the various systems.  Simultaneously, I obtained my private pilot’s license.  I had (and have) the aviation bug, and I enrolled in aviation school where I furthered my knowledge of complex systems and structures and earned my airframe and powerplant mechanics license as well as a B.S. degree in Business.
I worked at a major airline for many years applying my skills and knowledge to troubleshoot, maintain, repair, inspect and test, all done to meet safety regulations.  In the aviation field, doing it “right” is not an option.  Peoples lives depend upon the proper maintenance and actions.

When I purchased my first home (and all subsequent homes), and being a “hands on” guy, I have done most of my own work, windows, doors, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.  The passion for doing the job correctly has driven me learn the tips and tricks of the pros, ensuring a quality job.

Providing services for home repair, I find my experience, work ethic, and technical background to be an essential foundation to diagnose and solve issues ensuring a quality job.  I look forward to helping you with your repairs and improvements.
